Our Commitment to Your Privacy

Tasbih Counts is a digital tasbih counter. Your practice is personal, and this policy explains plainly what information is involved when you use the website, where it goes, and the choices you have. It covers both the free counter and the optional Premium plan.

Tasbih Counts is run by an individual in India and is responsible for the personal data described here under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Using the Free Counter

You do not need an account, and we never ask for your name, email or phone number.

Your practice stays on your device: counts, chosen dhikr, targets, timers, favourites, settings, streak and day-by-day history are saved in your browser’s local storage. They are not sent to us.
Backups are files you keep: Settings → Back up downloads a file to your device, and Restore reads a file you pick. We never receive these files.
Clearing is in your hands: clearing this website’s data in your browser removes everything the counter saved.

Advertising

The free website shows ads served by Google AdSense.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites.
Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this website and/or other websites on the Internet.
You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, and opt out of some other vendors’ use of cookies at aboutads.info.

Premium users are not shown ads.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how the website is used in general — which pages are visited, and which devices and browsers are common — so we can fix problems and improve it. Google Analytics sets cookies and receives information such as the pages you view, your device and browser, and your approximate location. It never receives your counts, dhikr or history. You can block it with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on or your browser’s cookie settings.

Premium

If you buy Premium, some information has to leave your device so we can take your payment, create your account and sync your practice. We collect only what that needs:

Email address: given at checkout, and used to create your account, let you sign in, and send sign-in codes, payment confirmations and important notices about your account. We do not send marketing email.
Google sign-in: if you choose it, Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us. We use the email to find your Premium account. We never get your Google password or anything else in your Google account.
Payment records: Razorpay handles the payment. We receive the payment and order IDs, the amount, date, status and payment method type (for example UPI or card) — never your card number, UPI PIN or bank login.
Your synced practice: counts per day and per dhikr, targets, settings and streak history, so the same practice appears on every device you sign in on. Each device gets an identifier so that counts from two devices add up correctly.
Reminders: if you turn them on, your browser’s push notification token and your time zone, so a reminder arrives at the right time.
Security records: basic technical details such as IP address and the time of sign-in and payment requests, to keep accounts safe and stop abuse.
Support messages: whatever you choose to tell us when you write to us.

We use this information only to provide Premium to you and to meet legal obligations, such as keeping payment records under Indian tax law. We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who Processes It for Us

Supabase: database and sign-in for Premium accounts.
Razorpay: payment processing.
Google: Google sign-in, Firebase Cloud Messaging for reminders, Google Analytics and Google AdSense.
Hostinger: hosting of the website.
An email delivery service: sending sign-in codes and account emails.

These providers process data only to provide their service to us, and some of them store data on servers outside India. We share personal data with authorities only when Indian law requires it.

How Long We Keep It

Account and synced practice: while your account exists. After you delete your account, it is erased from our live database within 30 days, and from backups when those backups expire.
Payment records: for as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires, even after the account is deleted.
Push notification tokens: until you turn reminders off, sign out on that device, or delete your account.
Security records: up to 90 days, unless they are needed to investigate abuse.
Support emails: up to one year after the conversation ends.

Your Rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can:

ask what personal data we hold about you and how it is used;
ask us to correct or update it;
ask us to delete your account and its data;
withdraw your consent — for Premium, that means deleting your account, because the service cannot run without it;
nominate someone to exercise these rights for you in case of death or incapacity;
raise a grievance with us and, if our answer does not resolve it, complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Write to contact@tasbihcounts.com from the email address on your account. We usually reply within 24–48 hours, and always within 3 working days, and complete requests within 30 days. Deleting your account does not refund the Premium payment. The free counter’s data exists only in your browser, so you control it directly there.

Security

All connections to the website are encrypted. Premium data is stored with access rules that let each account read only its own data, and every payment is verified with Razorpay before Premium is activated. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your personal data, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.

Children

The free counter collects no personal data from anyone, of any age. Premium is for adults: if you are under 18, a parent or guardian must buy it for you and agree to this policy on your behalf.

Changes to This Policy

When we change this policy we update the date at the top. If a change affects how Premium users’ data is used, we will email them before it takes effect.
